Welcome to Hand of Angels, Lake County Chapter!
We are recently expanded to begin serving and helping the people of Lake County Florida! We look forward to being your helping hand when you are facing challenges as they pertain to your children, their disabilities and their successful education and inclusion. We want to be the friend you feel safe turning to when you need support and encouragement. Stop by often as we are still under construction and will be adding to this site on a regular basis. We are building a lending library for you to check out helpful books and information packets, that will help you navigate the Special Education World. I will be publishing a list of books that we currently have so you may see if there is anything that interests you. First things first, please be sure to sign our Guestbook...it is called our Friends list!

If you own a business or are able to donate as an individual, please know that we are grateful for any help that is able to be provided. No amount is too small to send. Every little bit makes a difference and we welcome donations of all sizes! We are operated completely by volunteers. Any donation will be used to help other people in our community. We are a not-for-profit organization and the only way that we survive is from donations from helpful people such as yourself. Please send a donation today to help get the Lake County Chapter up and running. We are currently fundraising so that we may offer a "break camp" during the Christmas Holiday this year, for the parents who still need to work and need a safe place for their children to go. Also, we are in the pre-planning stages of a community resource education seminar that will take place in November. This will be a great educational event for local families. A few of the exciting break-out sessions we have planned are skin care for the pre-teen face, which will be offered by Clinique. Another class we plan on offering at this event is a session for parents on how to organize your file and keep good records; which is an imperative step in effectively advocating for your special needs child. We really look forward to our first event and can not wait to meet some of our local families and help them on the road to "greatness" for their child! We also have in our future goals to host an awards ceremony for the Local Lake County School District staff and personnel. We aim to recognize the many people who work so hard behinds the scenes to get our children the necessary services that our exceptional children need!
